Abstract
Fifteen cultivated rice as female parent and sixteen wild rice with high protein content as male parent, the high protein gene of wild rice was introduced to cultivated rice through crossbreeding, nine combinations with high protein were obtained for an anther culture. The average induction rate of callus was 3.70% and differentiation rate of green seedlings was 6.69%,and a batch of anther culture plantlets which character was similar to cultivated rice but protein content was higher was gained. This study could lay the foundation for further development of high protein rice breeding.
