Abstract

Objective To compare the differences between the volatile constituents from Viscum oralifolium DC.extracted by steam distillation and CO2 supercritical fluid extraction methods respectively. MethodsVolatile constituents of Viscum oralifolium DC.were extracted by steam distillation and CO2 supercritical fluid extraction methods, and analyzed by GC-MS techniques. The relative content of each component was determined by area normalization. Results97 peaks were separated and 49 of them were identified, representing about 68.44% of the total content from the extracts of steam distillation.65 peaks were separated and 46 of them were identified, representing about 79.64% of the total content from the extracts of CO2 supercritical fluid extraction. ConclusionThe great differences existed between the volatile constituents extracted by steam distillation and CO2 supercritical fluid extraction methods.
