Clarifying Several Problems about LIU Xiu

This paper argues that the following nine problems in the research of LIU Xiu,Emperor Guang-wu,misinterpret the historical literature and attempts to clarify them.These problems include that the surname of LIU Xiu's mother is ZHANG,FAN Zhong is his uncle,the year of his mother's death is in the 3rd year of Yuan-shi,his father is the governer of Nandun County,his clan brother LIU Jia is his classmate in Imperial College,LIU Chang is his clan brother,LIU Xiu's troops begin to open up wasteland in the 4th year of Jian-wu,the 13 kingdoms that he conquered have been taken for granted as 8,9,or 10.Furthermore,this paper makes a critical research and decodes the year when he began to study in the Imperial College,which exists as an unsolved problem about LIU Xiu for many years.
