Abstract
The optimization of signal phasing and sequence has a great relationship with the intersection design.The optimization of many signal control intersections mainly takes account of the geometry condition of intersection,optimal signal cycle and the like,but ignores the important factor of signal phase and sequence that causes some potential traffic safety problems.From the relationship between them,it is important to systematically optimize,analyze road intersection and reasonably arrange phase from comprehensive and systematic view.The practice has been proved that the method can reduce potential safety problems and provide basis for road intersection optimization.
