Abstract
Objective:To evaluate the therapeutic efficacy of various types of surgery for congenital superior oblique palsy. Methods:To choose a variety of surgical procedures based on the degree of the congenital superior oblique palsy of patients in our hospital in recent years. Results:The corrective effect of sectional tendon surgery for superior oblique palsy equals that for inferior oblique muscle retrocession. Patients with an angle of superior squint that exceeds 30 △ were treated by the inferior oblique muscle translocation method. Compared to the standard procedure in which the oblique muscle is weakened, inferior oblique muscle translocation can reduce the surgical time for patients with a superior oblique palsy strabismus, while horizontally level strabismus surgery can be performed in the same amount of time. Conclusion:The use of a variety of procedures produces better efficacy of surgery.
