Abstract

Proteins with basic region/leucine zipper motif(bZIP) domains are present in all eukaryotes and belong to one of the most extensively investigated transcriptional factor families. Now,plants which complete genome sequences was sequenced, include plenty of bZIP transcriptional factors.bZIP transcriptional factors, located in nucleolus, are involved in various biological functions such as plant development, flower development, seed maturation, senescence, light signaling, wounding, pathogen defence, and responsive to various environment stress, and so on.This paper focuses on the most advanced research in plant bZIP transcription factors, summarizes systemic the distribution, sorts, structures and the relation with plant developing, plant hormones, disease resistance, and stress resistance and gene interactions. In addition, the existing problems of the transcript factor study are put forward.
