Abstract
The paper is aimed at the core of thin slab continuous caster—mold, comparing different molds in terms of submerged entry nozzle (SEN),liquid steel flow and heat transfer, flux,as well as stress in solidified shell and casting technology, surface quality by numerical simulation.Reasonable internal shape of mold and SEN are obtained for continuous casting thin slab. The results laid a foundation for further optimization of mold's internal shape and casting parameters.
