Abstract

Objective To evaluate the value of colpscopy in the diagnosis of cervical diseases.Method Colposcopic inspections and biopsies were performed on 2716 women in our hospital. The efficacy of colposcopy was evaluated and the ratio of cervical diseases was caiculated.Result The sensitivity, specificity, coincidence, and positive predictive value(PPV) of colpscopy in the diagnosis of cervical lesion was 87.7%,66.4%,81.1%,and 85.3% respectively. The proportion of the cervical intraepithelial neoplasia was 28.5%.The cervical cancer was 4.3%.The incidence of acetowhite epithelium, mosaic, atypical vessels in the case of high CIN was significantly higher than the lower CIN.Conclusion Because colposcopy has the high sensitivity and positive predictive value(PPV) and can find the microlesion on the cervix and help to conduct directly elective locational biopsy,it has great value in the diagnosis of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia.
