Abstract

Along with the rapid development of China’s information construction, the need of the GIS software is larger and larger. But the most of the GIS softwares, whose functions are integral, are too expensive and wasted for special institutes or companies. So it is necessary to develop special GIS softwares. According to the GIS principles, GIS software engineering principle and its own characteristic, the design of the GIS software, whose functions have been implemented, such as zoom out, zoom in , pan, layer control and making theme maps and so on, by the Microsoft Visual C~(++)6.0, is introduced using OOP technique and database technique in the paper.
