Abstract
On the basis of a lot of site tests,the main compaction parameters influencing the compaction effect of oscillatory roller are studied.The comparison of compaction effect between oscillatory roller and high frequency vibratory roller as well as oscillatory compaction sample machine on asphalt mixing materials is analyzed.The research and test results show that it is very small for the charge range of the optimal excited frequency corresponding to the maximum compaction degree.The reached degree of compaction of compacted materials has relitionship with the effective compaction power absorbed by compacted materials.When the energy absorbed by compacted materials achieves saturation,more compaction not only does not help to increase the degree of compaction of compacted materials,but also can transfer completely compaction power transmitted by oscillatory drum to compacted materials into slip-rotation loss.
