Abstract
This paper uses DEA-Malmquist index method to measure total factor productivity of high-tech industry in China, and analyzes the factors that influence the TFP at the same time. The result shows that the technical progress is obviously different in different regions, but high-tech industry TFP has the trend of convergence. Compared with the eastern region, central and western regions' technical efficiency play more obvious roles in promoting the total factor productivity. From the perspective of the influence factors of total factor productivity, science and technology activities and the level of opening up have positive effect on total factor productivity, marketization's effect on the total factor productivity is negative. The strength of RD and the level of government management have no significant impact on total factor productivity.
