Abstract
The concurrent engineering is just considering the whole life cycle when designing a product,and considers quality,cost,schedule and user requirements comprehensively,according to all factors such as the concept of product development,project analysis,detailed design,manufacture,after-sale service and product scrap,etc. Firstly,this paper introduces the problems existing in the traditional mold design and manufacturing,and then introduces the concept of concurrent engineering and the basic characteristics briefly,at last,analyzes the application on concurrent engineering in mold design and manufacturing.
