Abstract
Organic fluorescent Dyes can be supported by Chitosan and the fluorescent Characteristics in physiological environment can be changed. In this paper, unsymmetrical water-soluble cyanine dye(Cy3) was supported by Chitosan(CTS),and the product(Cy3-CTS) was characterized by IR and DTA.The fluorescence Characteristics and ultraviolet absorbance were studied. The results showed that the characteristic peak of UV absorption spectrum of Cy3-CTS shifted little compared to that of Cy3,but the fluorescence intensity enhanced obviously with good photostability.Primary experimental study on labeled cells indicated that Cy3-CTS can pass through the cell membrane with good affinity to glioma cell and show strong fluorescence.
