Abstract

The paper analyzed American composer Elliott Carter one piece from 8 Etudes and a Fantasy with sound-colour-melody, perspective analysis the linear effect of timbre flowing used by Carter with the score of sound-colour-melody,explored the logical power in timbre relationship. It also discussed the traditional music form structure, and the writer's thoughts on the language of analysis of sound-colour-melody as well.
