Abstract

Three big-panicle indica hybrid rice combinations( Gangyou 188,Jinyou 188,Feiyou 188) were planted with Shanyou 63 as CK to study dry matter accumulation and distributive characteristics. The results indicated that it has the great advantages for big-panicle combinations in dry matter production and accumulation and its total dry matter accumulation ranged from 2251. 91 to 2395. 60 g·m- 2. The dry matter more than 70 % was accumulated before heading date. Grain yield was significantly positively correlated with total dry matter accumulation( r = 0. 990*). There was highly biological-yield in big-panicle cultivars as the dry matter accumulation of the leaves and stems gained30. 99 % and 25. 37 % more than control reached 486. 29 and 330. 40 g·m- 2,respectively during the middle and late growth stages. There were lower dry matter transportation amount of leaf and sheath and higher dry matter accumulations in panicles( 1379. 80 g·m- 2).The functional leaves of big-panicle cultivars has longer green period. The production superiority of big-panicle cultivars was exhibited during these stages.
