Abstract
The clearance rate, ingestion rate and absorption efficiency of Soletellina acuta were examined using the indoor experimental ecological methods. The results showed that at the experimental temperature, the clearance rate and ingestion rate increased as the S.acuta gained in weight, which could be expressed as the positive correlated power function,CR=aWb and IR=cWd.b ranged from 0.508 7 to 0.713 7 with the average value 0.650 4,and d ranged from 0.526 4 to 0.720 4 with 0.660 5 in average. There was no obvious relationship between the absorption efficiency and body weight. At 16-36 ℃,the ingestion rate and absorption effi ciency of S.acuta in three sizes had the same trend of peak variation. They all reached to the peak level at 28 ℃,and dropped when the temperature was above 28 ℃.The effect of temperature on the ingestion rate and absorption efficiency of S.acuta was highly significant.
