Abstract
The nature of socialism is to liberate and develop productive forces, abolish exploitation and polarization, and reach the state of widespread wealth for all people. Deng Xiaoping's theory on the nature of socialism serves as a good guide both in theory and practice. It's helpful for us to understand and participate in the socialist construction if we can grasp Deng's theory from the perspective of general socialism and specific Chinese circumstances, the relation between productive forces and the means of production as well as the relation between reality and ideal.
