Abstract
Objective:To investigate drug craving that heroin addicts experienced during rehabilitation treatment and probe into the proper time for detoxification. Method: A self-designed questionnaire was used,scores of drug craving were recorded by Likert method. Result: The extent of drug craving reduced as rehabilitation time went on. Craving extent of heroin addicts who rehabilitated over 30 days was lower than those who did it less than 30 days; those who rehabilitated over 120 days had less drug craving than those who had it for 90 days. Conclusion: Rehabilitation treatment prolongation to 120 days has advantage for detoxification.
