Abstract
Objective Study on effect of lobeline on 6-OHDA-treated rat Model of Parkinson’s Disease.Methods Rat treated were examined by behavioral tests(emetomorphine-induced rotation) and tyrosine hydroxylase (TH) immunohistochemistry was stained to dopaminergic neurons in substantia nigra.Results The results demonstrated lobeline could increased significantly TH positive neurons in substantia nigra and reversed locomotor deficits detected in MPTP-treated mice(P0.05).Conclusions Lobeline may be useful to treat symptoms in Parkinson’s disease and protect dopaminergic neurons against neurotoxin in vivo.
