High-modernization Theory:A Recent Exploration in Studies of Modernization

In the late 20th century,a large number of issues that appeared in development of Western developed countries severely challenge the classical modernization theory.Under the influence of extremely important background factors,the post-industrial society as the social base,post-modernism as the cultural background and the postmodern dispute in social theories as the intellectual motivation,high-modernization theory takes different forms,mainly including post-modernization theory,second modernization theory and introspective modernization theory,etc.High-modernization theory is not only the transcendence,but also the extension of the classical modernization theory.Therefore it has become an important form of research product in recent exploration in studies of modernization.
