Research and Analysis of MAC Protocol in Mobile Ad Hoc Network

Abstract

Mobile Ad Hoc network is an up-to-date one emerging with the development of wireless communication technology.Due to peculiarity of the Ad Hoc network,the development of MAC protocols is very different from the traditional wireless systems,wired networks and micro cellular networks.First,the paper instructs the Ad Hoc Network,and then pre-sents unique set of challenges in developing the MAC Protocols.Then,it compares the similarities and differences of some main MAC protocols.At the end of this paper,research directions in the area are also discussed.
