Abstract
Based on field inspection,sample collection and identification,240 families,1017 genera and 2251 species of medicinal plants were found in the Huayingshan Mountains of Chongqing City.Those were 11 species,8 genus,5 families of lichen,36 species,30 genus,23 families of Bryophyte,190 species,82 genus,40 families of pteridophyte,25 species,17 genus,9 families of gymnosperm and 1989 species,880 genus,163 families of angiosperm.The specific composition,distribution,medicate part and curative effect of the medicinal plants were statistical studied,a brief introduction of the rare and folk medicinal plants in this region was given in this paper,and the suggestions for rational development and utilization of medicinal plants resources put forward.
