Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of left ventricular geometric model to left heart function and atrial fibrillation(AF)in patients with essential hypertension. Methods According to Ganau categories, these patients were divided into four groups:normal LV geometric model(NG group),concentric remodeling(CR group),concentric hypertrophy(CH group)and eccentric hypertrophy(EH group). We compared the four groups of left heart function and incidence of AF and compared the left heart function and structure index between AF patientsgroup and NAF(without AF)one. Results Compared with other 3groups,The heart function in EH group was worst(EF was the minimum,E/A was the highest).Compared with NG group, the incidence of AF in other three groups were all higher(P0.05).There was significant difference between AF group and NAF group in the LAD、LVEDD、EF、LVMI numerical and E/A ratio.4According to Logistic regression Multiple-factors analysis, the E/A ratio and Left ventricular end diastolic diameter(LVEDD)were independent risk factors of AF.Conclusion The incidence of AF in patients with essential hypertension is increased following the developing of LV geometric model, but the heart function becomes worse with it,E/A ratio is the important predictor for AF,LVEDD is the strongest correlation sign between AF and LV geometric model.
