Abstract

University autonomy and academic freedom are not only of centuries old tradition,but it is the crucial idea of the university,and they have the same basic elements and close relation,furthermore,academic freedom is the ultimate target of university autonomy,and the latter is the institutional barrier of the former.whereas,there is also variance existed between university autonomy and academician's academic freedom,they are even conflict in some ways.
