Abstract
Objective:To investigate the effect of delayed PTCA and stenting for infarct related artery on the prognosis in patients with first acute myocardial infarction coaplicated left. Methods:Eighty patients with acute myocardial infarction whose LVEF 0.50 were divided into PTCA group (40 cases) and non PTCA group; Twenty patients underwent PTCA and coronery stenting with an average of 12 days after the acute event. Cardiac events in each group were recorded. Results:Unstable angina (15% vs 50%, P 0.01 )?clinical cardiac function (70% vs 40%, P 0.01 )?LVEF elevation (65% vs 30%, P 0.01 ) and composite events (40%vs 75%, P 0.01 ) were improved significantly in PTCA group than in non PTCA group, but there were no significant difference in reinfarct and death in two group (P 0.05 ). Conclusion:Delayed PTCA and stenting for infarct-related artery decreases significantly cardiac events in patients with acute myocardial infarction.
