Abstract
In order to understand that IPv6 network has potential capacity against worms, presented a new type of worm,RoutingWorm-v6 in IPv6 network. In IPv6 network environment, this paper analyzed the scanning strategy of RoutingWorm-v6,and established Two-Factor model for simulating the propagation of RoutingWorm-v6.The results of simulation experiment show that IPv6 network can defend against routing worms due to its huge address space. It is impossible that routing worms propagate in IPv6 network.Internet worm will use mixed scanning strategy.
