Abstract

In the end of Tang Dynasty and the Five Dynasties,many scholars,musicians and craftsmen swarmed into Khitan State and as a result,Great Liao culture prospered.Palace music in Liao Dynasty inherited music of Tang Dynasty in music law,musical instruments,names for ceremonical music and banquet music,etc.Such a phenomenon does not only exist in music style but it is also an embodiment of Han culture occupying a dominant postion after the long struggle between Han and Hu culture in Liao Dynasty.
