On the Nationality Policies of the Emperor Suiyangdi of Sui Dynasty and Its Influence

In according with the development tendency of mixture of multiple nationalities,the Emperor Suiyangdi of Sui Dynasty proposed clearly the idea of “mixture of the Rong(the minority nationalities which once lived in the west of China) and Han nationality” and took a series of political,economical and military measures to fulfill the nationality policy of “not separating the minority nationalities and the Han nationality”.He established a nationality work principle that took moralization as the main point and favored and trusted the minority nationalities,which has achieved an active effect on Han nationality to develop together with the minority nationalities and has had an everlasting influence upon the later nationality policies.
