Analysis on Death Cause of Accidental Injury among Inhabitants in Shenzhen in 2006

Abstract
Objective To study the death causes of injury among the inhabitants in Shenzhen and to explore the prevention and control measures.Methods The data of death among inhabitants in Shenzhen in 2006 were analyzed.Results The average standardized mortality rate of accidents was 29.04/100 000,which taken the first place in all death causes.The mortality rate of accidental injury among male was higher than that among female.The main death causes of accidental injury were traffic accident(34.34%),falling(17.40%) and accidental poisoning(12.61%).The sequences of top three death causes of accidental injury among male were the same as that among female.All the death causes of accidental injury were different among different age groups and different occupational groups.Conclusions Injury were the first death cause among inhabitants.More attention should be paid and the measures should be taken for its prevention.
