Properties and formation mechanism of aerobic granular sludge

Abstract
The aerobic granular sludge was cultivated successfully in SBR systems.The physic-chemical properties of the aerobic granular sludge are described in this paper.At the same time,its forming mechanism is also discussed.Research results show that the sludge has good settling ability,and its other properties are aslo better than that of conventional activated sludge.The formation of the sludge is a result produced commonly by its affecting factors.
