Abstract

Objective To find the multi-genotypes of extended-spectrum β-lactamase(ESBLs) in clinical isolates of Klebsiella pneumoniae in the First Affilated Hospital,Shantou University Medical Colloege. Methods ESBLs genotypes were performed by PCR,and the PCR products were cloned and sequenced.DNA analysis was by pulsed-field gel electrophresis(PFGE).The MICs of 10 antibiotics were detected by broth-dilution against the multi-genotypes of ESBLs coexistent in clinical isolates of Klebsiella pneumoniae. Results The results of PCR showed that among the 83 strains clinical isolates of Klebsiella pneumoniae producing ESBLs,there were 3-geneotypical ESBLs coexistent in 9 strains. They were confirmed to CTX-M-3.TEM-1 as well as SHV genotypes. The DNAs analysis by PFGE in these 9 strains showed that there were 7 different types. These 9 strains were high resistance to ATM,CRO,CTX,CAZ,AKN and TET except IMP,but a few susceptive to TZP,FEP and CIP.Conclusion There are CTX-M-3 and SHV-extended-spectrum β-lactamase coexistent with TEM-1 broad-spectrum β-lactamase in 9 strains clinical isolates of Klebsiella pneumoniae in the hospital. They were seriously resistance to drugs.
