Abstract

Defects of resistance spot welded joint of ultra high strength steel sheet welded with hot-dip galvanized dual phase steel sheet were investigated by experiments.By orthogonal testing, influences of welding current, welding time and electrode force on strength of welded joint were discussed in detail. It was demonstrated that ultra high strength steel with galvanized dual phase steel had a higher chance of welding spatter and welding burn through.Welding duration time and welding current had a significant effect on strength of welding joint. And this kind of materials-match would be welded with priority of hard welding variables of large welding current and short welding duration time.
