Abstract
The activity of gemfibrozil was studied in 53 patients with primary hyperlipidemia. At the end of 12 weeks' treatment, the drug significantly reduced the total serum Cholesterol by 17%, and serum triglycerides 65% while the high density lipoprotein cholesterol raised by 0.7 mmol/1.There was no miserable adverse reaction. Results indicated that gemfibrozil is an effective lipid regulator recently discovered.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
