Abstract

Neisseria gonorrhoeae is the pathogenic bacteria of human gonorrhoeae,in nature human beings are the only host of Neisseria gonorrhoeae which can extremely easily infect people but hardly infect frequently-used experimental animals.However,the research of Neisseria gonorrhoeae need to do lots of zoopery.Since the lack of appropriate experimental animals,the research of Neisseria gonorrhoeae is seriously hindered.Estrogen has anti-inflammatory effects,which also can thicken vagina mucosa and spur hyperplasia of epithelium.After treated with estrogen,a mouse model for Neisseria gonorrhoeae infection can be founded.The mouse model for Neisseria gonorrhoeae infection will exert positive effects on the research of infectious mechanism of Neisseria gonorrhoeae,the vaccine development and the usage of antibacterials.In this paper,studies about the mouse model for Neisseria gonorrhoeae infection are reviewed.
