ALTERATION CHARACTERISTICS AND MINERALIZATION OF COUNTRY ROCKS AT BAIYAGOU GOLD DEPOSIT

Abstract

Baiyagou gold deposit is located in the south to the s-type structure at the North Qilian-Qinling orogen.Gold mineralization is controlled by the Sinian-Ordovician strata Liziyuan group and nearly EW distribution to the fault zone and Tianzishan,Moshangou`s calc-alkalic granite.This paper is discussed the relationships between the gold mineralization characteristics and rock alteration of Baigou gold deposit,the gold mineralization is closed by hydrothermal veins and wall rock alteration.There are main four stages of the gold hydrothermal veins activities,the main types of rock alteration of pyrite,limonite,bleaching and silicification alteration are closed to the gold mineralization characteristics.
