Abstract

[Objective] To understand the situation of older persons constipation and the impact of defecation time and frequency of defecation on the elderly constipation.[Methods] The Rome Ⅱ constipation diagnostic criteria was used to investigate 26 elderly people in the investigation.[Results] The incidence of constipation was 37.37 percent in older persons,defecation time and frequency of constipation affected the occurrence of constipation,with a significance(P﹤0.01).[Conclusion] It should pay attention to the daily life habits of elderly to reduce the incidence of constipation.
