On developing water-saving agriculture

With the rapid development of economy and society,water resources have become shorter and shorter,and it is necessary to develop water-saving agriculture.Based on the analysis of the current state and the existing problems of water-saving agriculture,it was regarded that the development of water-saving agriculture could not be simply dependent on the construction of water-saving projects at low level and the popularization and application of irrigation techniques for farmland.Thorough reflections were also needed.According to the characteristics of regional water resources and the status of water-saving agriculture, the relevant policies and countermeasures were proposed.The development tendency of the future water-saving agriculture was prospected.
