Energy Calculation of Underwater Explosion over Seabed Charge Based on Similarity Law

Abstract

Estimating the energy output characteristics for underwater explosion of charge has been widely used in the field of underwater explosion. The determination of t,the energy output characteristics for seabed explosion of charge,was lack of influence. It is one of the main factors on the error of energy estimated seabed explosion,so that effective steps should be taken to determine the method of energy estimated seabed explosion. In order to understand the energy output characteristics for underwater explosion of charge in seabed,the shock wave energy and bubble energy were calculated after underwater explosion based on the similarity law respectively. In traditional shock wave energy and bubble energy empirical formulas,it satisfied the similarity law. The underwater explosion study results show that the shock wave energy,bubble energy has been strongly affected by explosion in seabed than that of explosion in the free field explosion. Bubble pulse period of underwater explosion in seabed is larger than that of explosion in free field explosion. Shock wave pressure of underwater explosion in seabed is more intense than that in free field explosion.
