Studies of Gas Turbine Generator Units with Surge

Abstract

Surge fault is one of the common fault in the gas turbine generator units.Surge brings greatly affect to the normal work of the gas turbine generator units,and have a serious threat to the life of the gas turbine generator units.This paper has analyzed the reason and mechanization of the compressor surge of the gas turbine generator units,and introduced the main performance characteristics when the compressor surgeing.Based on the analysis of causes of compressor surge,this paper proposes the basis for surge fault of the gas turbine and measures for the prevention of the surge fault,providing technical references for the safe operation of the units.
