Abstract

By analyzing the Sapir-Whorf hypothesis and its various versions of explanations from philosophical and psychological perspective,the author points out the difficulty in understanding the hypothesis and the misunderstanding of many linguists.The paper proposes a more reasonable explanation.Meanwhile,the author tries to explore the linguistic relativity(LR),concerning that the language a speaker uses influences the way the speaker thinks.
