On Xun Zi's Contributions to Traditional Literary Theory

Xun Zi not only achieved greatly at academic thoughts in the Chinese Pre-Qin Period,but also made important attributions to the history of literary criticism.He confirmed the social functions of literature,put forward several literary ideas such as from reality,reasonable description and expressing feelings,and suggested ways of literary criticism such as Understanding,Challenging and Confluent.So he was the founder of traditional literary concepts in the feudal Chinese society.
