Abstract

Objective:To discuss the impaction of treatment result on same malocclusion with premolar extraction or molar extraction.Method:Two of the same age and similar types of malocclusion cases were selected.One was treated with premolar extraction and the other was treated with molar extraction.Two types of results and significance were analyzed.Result:The first typical case was treated with premolar extraction and only 24 teeth were reserved with third molars impacted.The second typical case was treated with molar extraction and 28 teeth were reserved.Conclusion:The design of molar extraction was applicable for most cases with conventional premolar extraction.It can avoid the impaction of third molar which usually appears in premolar extraction cases.At the same time it can solve problems of anterior,middle and posterior archs.
