Abstract
This article explored the educational and professional experience of Francisco Caldeira Cabral,one of the first generation of Portuguese Landscape Architects.Mr.Francisco Caldeira Cabral made remarkable achievements in Landscape Architecture education and research,founding one of the earliest programmes in Europe. He also actively involved in landscape design practice,from private gardens to public parks, farm building projects to irrigation projects, as well as landscape planning both locally and regionally.His design works included the National Stadium,Quinta da Agrela and different projects around the world.
