Abstract
This article discussed the site selection,profile allocation and the water system distribution designed for Luoyang City in Sui and Tang Dynasties in the light of literature citation.The formation of super human living environment characterized with lying inside the mountains,water flowing inside the that was designed under the guidance of the simple philosophy imitating the universe,and harmonizing the people and the in the ancient era was studied by analyzing the features of water element application to the natural rivers,artificial drainage networks and hundreds of private gardens in Luoyang City.The present significance of the ecological principle respecting the nature while planning the urban water system in the ancient era would be followed to build Luoyang as a city featured with the mountain and water landscape in a sustainable way.
