A case report on feminization caused by adrenal cortical carcinoma

Abstract

Objectives: To report and review the pathogenesis and therapeutic method of adrenal cortical carcinoma. Methods: The clinical data was reported of a patient with feminization manifestation caused by adrenal cortical carcinoma. Literature was also reviewed for the pathogenesis of adrenal cortical carcinoma. Results: The tumor has been completely removed by laparoscopy for the carcinoma patient who showed improved symptoms after the surgery and no recurrence after half a year follow up. Conclusion: There is a low incidence rate of adrenal cortical carcinoma and its surgical treatment is effective.
