Abstract
Objective:To research the clinical efficacy of cervical loop electrosurgical excision procedure(LEEP) in treatment of cervical diseases. Methods:Sixty-six patients who received LEEP because of cervical lesions were collected from the hospital from January 2009 to January 2010 as observation group, then the patients were compared with 68 patients(control group) receiving conventional cervical conization because of cervical lesions in the hospital during the same period;the operation times, the amounts of blood loss during operation, the amounts of vaginal bleeding after operation, cervical recovery, and cervical stenosis in the two groups were compared. Results:The operation time, the amounts of blood loss during operation and vaginal bleeding after operation in observation group were significantly lower than those in control group(t=16.2,18.4,35.5,P0.05).In observation group, the curative rates within one month and two months were 65% and 100%,respectively;in control group, the curative rates within one month and two months were 60% and 95%,respectively,the postoperative vaginal secretions returned to clean at about two weeks after operation in the two groups, there was no significant difference in clinical efficacy between the two groups. Conclusion:Cervical LEEP is effective, simple, and safe in treatment of cervical diseases, which is worthy to be popularized in clinic.
