Abstract
Using the SLB-1 triaxial and permeability apparatus with stress and strain Control triaxial, tests with stress and strain control have been carried on the intact loess of Shaanxi Fufeng, the tests were carried out under consolidated drained condition with different stress paths, which include conventional triaxial compression, reduced triaxial compression and with constant p.The influence of different stress path on strength and deformation characteristic of loess is studied. The experiment results indicated that, under different stress path, the stress-strain relationship of the loess agrees with Duncan-Chang model, and at the primary stress difference reaching 200~250kPa,obvious knee point appears on the curve;but its peak strength differs with stress path and control mode. The volumetric strain in all stress paths present good linear relationship.
