Comparative Analysis of Competitiveness in China's High-tech Service Industries——A Study Based on Shift-share Analysis

Abstract

Through the collection and the integration of Chinese statistical yearbook data,using the shift share analysis method,the paper made a comparative analysis of competitiveness of high-tech service industries in 6 representative provinces from 2005 to 2010,in order to study the competitiveness scientifically and objectively. The findings show that the development tendency of Beijing is the best,that Jiangsu's superiority is prominent,that Shanghai,Guangdong and Zhejiang's competitiveness is low and that further development of Chongqing high technology service industry is also very important. Finally,some suggestions on development of high-tech service industries were put forward.
