Abstract
Stable fluoroacrylate copolymer emulsion was synthesized with fluoroacrylate, butylacrylate and methyl methyl-acrylate as the monomers. The components and structure of the copolymers were characterized by FTIR and 1H-NMR.The results indicated that the content of F in the copolymers increased with the increase of fluoroacrylate in the monomers. The results by the XPS showed that the content of F in the surface of copolymer films had no obvious change when the content of fluoroacrylate in the monomers was above 20%.And the water contact angle of the films had the same rule. The excellent water-and-oil-repellence of the copolymer films were preserved while the amount of fluoroacrylate required in the polymer was low considerably.
