In modern times,there was once a colossal self-salvation campaign in the Chinese ideological and cultural circle,which was represented by Kang Youwei's Confucius Religion and Liang Shuming's New Confucianism.Based on different academic standings and values,Kang and Liang put forward their unique understandings of the re-construction of the traditional Confucianism.A careful examination of their reflection upon traditional Confucianism shall be of referential value for our exploration of the prospect of the Confucianism.
